berrysprite fabric is here!

Awesome... awesome to the max! I received my specially printed berrysprite fabric from spoonflower a while ago, but I didn't want to post anything about it until I had the chance to make something from it. So without much further ado.......Tada! Here they are, in all their berrysprite glory!

I do have a few recommendations for people who are looking to design some spoonflower fabric:

  1. Do not ever use red or a reddish color: it turns orange with their presses. Resist the urge to make those cherries or strawberries red! Make them magenta or dark pink instead, and you will be forever more happy!
  2. watch using really light/ similar colors to outline or detail your design: it will bleed or won't be translated in the printing process, hence all my elephants are missing their noses!

However, I am still EXTREMELY happy with my fabrics, they turned out so fabulously, I am already designing more... with the themes of underwater sea and little red riding hood. The ability to make my own kawaii fabrics has also seriously curbed my compulsive fabric buying which is for the most part a good thing :)

Of course I had to make zippered pouches out of my fabrics... what kinda crafty girl would I be if I didn't? Unfortunately I am super busy, so I only got a chance to make one of each for now. This first set will be listed staggered in my shop starting tonight (10/10) and running through Sunday (10/12). I can also take custom orders, though I'm not sure when I'll be able to get to them (maybe in 2 weeks...) Let me know if you are interested, the cost for each pouch will be $10+shipping. Yay! PS. I have tons more pictures on my flickr!
