It's been such a wonderful year for me, and to top it all off I'm looking forward to a truly fabulous holiday season (new job, finishing thesis, new opportunities, new friends)! So I thought it was only right for me to do a Christmas giveaway, to celebrate my wonderful year and my awesome berrysprite friends!
This year I'll be giving away a pair of my felt cookie ornaments... one light brown and one dark brown cookie for your holiday home :D The giveaway will run from Tuesday, Nov. 30 to Saturday, Dec. 4, and the winner will be announced on Sunday (Dec. 5) because I want to make sure the winner receives his/ her ornaments in time for Christmas! To enter the giveaway leave a comment on this post that describes one of your favorite things about any holiday(it doesn't have to be Christmas!). Although the winner will be selected by a random number generator (based on the number of your comment), it's fun to see what makes people happy, don't you think? For example, I love Christmas, and one thing that I love are all the Christmas lights (you know, bright shiny pretty things are my weakness).
Also, if you can't wait to see if you've won the ornaments, you can make some of your own! Try your hand at my felt cookie tutorial which I made last year... They are so fast and easy to make, and they look daaaarling when they are finished; perfect for a small gift or favor (or even for your own Christmas tree)!
my favorite part about Christmas is that I see my family again. I only see them once a year because I live in Hong Kong and every Christmas we fly to Austria to see them. I cant wait to see them this year!

I wanna enter! :3 My favourite holidays is christmas, not original I know jejej well, I like xmas because of the atmospheres of the streets (the lights, the songs,the people), people buying presents for the others, to eat with the family (eating very yummy food) is a very happy holiday ^^

ReplyDeleteWell, this year, my favorite thing about the holidays will be gingerbread men. And I'm not just saying that because of your wonderfully cute prize! If I can get everything together in time, I plan on having a gingerbread man decorating party. Tee hee!
i doubt the random number generator will pick #1 haha but you never know!! these little guys are super cute. i need more ornaments for my tree as we just got one last year!
ReplyDeletemy favourite holiday is christmas and my favourite thing about it is the moods people are in, generally everyone is happy and excited and it's a lovely time of year.
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays simply because I get to be around family and loved ones and great food.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday is Hanukkah, a Jewish holiday that we celebrate by lighting the Hanukkah Menorah and eating yummy jelly-filled donuts and potato latkes. It's such a happy holiday. :-)
Yeah!!! I love shopping for gifts for my family! I get so excited to see the look on there faces when the open there gifts from me! I always try to find something rare and totally out of the blue gift, so they are totally surprised! That is what I love the most :)

my favourite thing about christmas is watching it through my little guy who's 3.5 years old. he's at the age where he's starting to "get it". he's in awe of the lights, decorations the visual aspect of it. and being a first and only time mother seeing christmas through a child's eyes is magical and priceless.:O)

ReplyDeleteMy husband and I really enjoy Christmas because its cold outside-meaning hot cocoa and movies. And everyone takes the time to slow down a bit ... and the break from school is nice too. >.<

ReplyDeleteWhat I like about x-mas is that every year the night before we have a huge buffet style dinner at my moms and all our favorite are there for us to eat.
ReplyDeleteAs for these little cookie ornaments I just love them they are very cute and they match all the art I'm filling my new place with so they will most likely be hung on the wall all year round :D
I love Christmas lights & warm candles flickering & warm food from a hot oven or crockpot. But most of all my favorite moment at Christmas time is when all the big lights are out and Christmas tree is twinkling and the snowflakes are flying. {big sigh}

ReplyDeleteI love Christmas because I get to spend time at home in Chicago and enjoy the snow! I go to school in L.A. so it's nice to have a white Christmas. My mom spends all year collecting gourmet cookie recipes. She devotes three or four days to baking nonstop, and all the yummy smells make it feel like home more than ever.

I love the holiday season...especially the evenings when we all go out together and look at all the beautiful lights. The air smells good, so crisp and clean, clear. It may be freezing but you cannot help but feel warm...Happy Holidays!!

ReplyDeleteThese ornaments are adorable. My favorite thing about Christmas is unpacking all the holiday stuff and getting the house decorated for the season. I also enjoy all the Christmas baking but I don't do as much as I did when i still had children living at home
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about holiday gatherings is to watch the little kids playing together. They're just so cute and it's nice to see them getting to know each other even if it's just once a year.
